The thing I love most about this recipe is how quick & how easy it is to make and on top of that it tastes pretty darn good.
With any meal if you can have all of your ingredients prepped and ready to go it makes it that much quicker to get dinner on the table.
This is one of those comfort meals, guilty pleasures, makes you feel like you got take out when you actually made it from scratch. Feel free to use fresh veggies, I prefer the frozens ones for convenience & ease.
I prefer to use round steak, but flat iron steak also works great this one from Bravo Steaks is delicious!
Can a cut of meat be pretty? cause this steak looks pretty darn good!

Beef Stir Fry

1 lb round steak or flat iron steak- sliced into thin strips
1 medium onion – sliced thin
1 red pepper -sliced thin
1 pkg of frozen broccoli stir fry mix
3 cloves garlic minced
2 TBS vegetable oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 TBS white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 TBS cornstarch + 1 TBS water
8 oz Spaghetti noodles
salt & pepper
green onions
sesame seeds
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium high heat saute beef until it gets a nuce brown crust. Add onions, peppers until softened then add broccoli mixture until tender.
- Reduce heat to medium low, in a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, water, sugar and ginger. In another bowl whish the cornstarch with 1 TBS of water to make a paste and once combined add to the soy sauce mix.
- Meanwhile cook the spaghetti noodles according to package directions.
- Add the sauce mixture to the meat & veggies in the skillet. Cook a few minutes & stir occasionally until it starts to thicken.
- Add the drained noodles to the mixture & stir them in. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
- Serve it up with green onions & sesame seeds on top.
