Summer is here, and what says “summer” more than a hot dog?! There is no wrong way to top a hot dog, you can keep it simple or go big. Today’s recipe is all about Coney sauce, a simple and delicious topping for your dog.
This recipe is super similar to my sloppy joe recipe, so it’s not as saucy as a traditional Coney sauce, but this is better in my humble opinion. Coney sauce takes me back to our county fair, the concession stand at sporting events, and Summer get-togethers. It’s so easy to make, and I know you’re going to love it. If you ask me, the best way to cook a hot dog is to grill it; then top it with this sauce and you can’t go wrong for any of your summer meals! It’s quick to make in a pinch which is great if you have a million other things to cook for your next barbecue. Enjoy!
